Cole Bennett
Cole Bennett, Owner of Lyrical Lemonade, has taken the world by storm and has lead the music video industry in a different era.
Cole started shooting music videos while he was still in College in his dorm room for a reasonable price to pursue greater things with his company. He eventually connected with some of the new generation of rappers such as Famous Dex, Lil Pump, and Smokepurpp and created music videos that would lead into a new time.
Cole's videos contained very exclusive visual effects and new ideas that weren't around at the time such as Drawn Scribbles, Masking, and Blurred Transitions, that are still around new music video these days. His YouTube channel, full of music videos that he still edits himself, has gained a reputation in the industry as one of the most well grounded places to discover the next big stars in music, and it’s followed by over 11 million subscribers.
“I’m working on so many things outside of music videos because I don’t want to limit myself,” Bennett says (Via Complex). “I look to people like Steve Jobs, Rick Rubin, and Walt Disney. I look to artists like Tyler, the Creator and Kanye, who never limited themselves, always wanted to go above and beyond, and really try to change the world. They always do new things and try new things, and they never put a ceiling to themselves. That’s what I aspire to do. I want to leave an impact, and I want to create a structure and a blueprint for kids to come. Anyone can do it. You’ve just got to want it.”
Cole says music videos will always be apart of his creative output and that Hip-Hop will remain the main focus within Lyrical Lemonade. As long as he inspires and is able to make change, he won't give up.

I really like the detail you give about Cole Bennett's story and background. I think it is cool that you even showed his work too. Cole is definitely the guy that has all the clout when it comes to making unknown rappers famous when he shoots their videos.
ReplyDeleteI like how this post is informative, by giving me a bit of Cole's background and where he came from. I don't listen to much of this music so I would've never known about him. It's also kind of inspirational and like that he's not going to limit himself.
ReplyDeleteI've seen some of his music videos and how he likes to kind of play with them. A lot of them tend to have the same formula but are different. Gives people a new perspective on what music videos can look like now.
